"tajine pot from morocco."-cj

i'm feeling yellow. go figure.

butter cookies

I kept eating and eating. Probably butchered the whole tin of Danish cookies in as I spaced out in front of the computer for half the afternoon. Earlier in the afternoon, I had rapid and frenzied email exchanges with my internship manager, research supervisor and Engineering Graduate Studies coordinator. Confirmed an internship in Singapore which is just walking distance from my house. Decided on a project title. Back in the running for a sponsorship. Everything just fell into place. How I ended up with a tin of butter cookies doesn't seem so hard to understand now, right?

"she walked in to find the remains of the Butters."-cj

"a smoking gun isn't enough to incriminate me!". I defended.

safe sex

I was reading through the articles concerning Operations Research as preparation for my internship and research project. When i chanced upon an article on Safe Sex Makespan. What has safe sex got to do with operations research? Curious, I clicked on the link. ah huh.

"Safe sex makespan problem: is used in operations research as an example that the cheapest capital cost often leads to dramatic increase in operational time, but that the shortest operational time need not be given by the most expensive capital cost." - Wikipedia

Read more about it here. Practice Safe Sex.

maybe i can propose a research project topic on it. partners? no i mean volunteers?

style

A friend recently told me he is starting to see a style develop in my photographs. After going through all my photos, I am starting to see it too. We were unable to put a descriptive word to it, but to me it is clearly there. Is it the way I framed the photos? Or is it the objects that I took pictures of? They do look like standard post cards shots. Do they looked too standard and too proper? or just wait for me to become famous. and I will have the critics figure that out for me.

I spend quite a lot of time looking at other people's photos. like this one here -> http://www.pbase.com/nivlek28/weddings
. All his wedding photos just make me want to get hitched now. I saw his photos and realized that I have not tried taking photos of people. I would like to be able to someday capture emotions, instead of sceneries, through the lens.

ah weddings..

paris

A chronograph of our day's trip with my new camera. As summer approaches, the days gets longer and the sun rises earlier. Determined to get a sunrise shot of the Eiffet tower, we started out day early. We are out of the school just as the drunk friday night party group makes their way back.

How I really dislike some people, but refrain from telling them in the face; cos I am afraid it might hurt them.

just smile and walk away.

mac dreamy

my super cool table tennis coach said tt whoever lost the match would have to kiss the winner.

Guess who got kissed by the prettiest in class.

thank you

I finally received the my birthday package during cny. The arduous journey that it must have gone through. The suspense which almost ate me is finally over. I opened up the package, ripping apart the cardboard with zest. Goodness, I almost could not believe what I saw..

Mushrooms.

A blue mushroom table lamp and a yellow mushroom air freshener. Including the mushroom floor mat, the mushroom klush ball and the mushroom T-shirt; this brings the total mushroom count to five. It's really not so difficult to guess whose idea was it.
Who else other than aa tan? I liked everything else too, they are less amusing but more delicious than the inedible mushrooms.

"gosh. i love this photo."-cj

thank you all.

你很奇怪

This is neither constructive nor indicative. repeating it several times more doesn't mean i would be able to decode it.

try

The overwhelming wretchedness which is swarming me now would eat me up if I do not verbalized my thoughts. For all your perceived hidden agony, you have pessimistically convinced yourself that the world has cast you aside. Look around yourself, look at the things that were done for you and count your blessings. The world has not abandoned you, instead you did. Now ask yourself what have you done for others. What have you done for the people around you in the name of pure benevolence. The whole world does not evolve around your selfish personal interests. I did not change. My opinions of you did. I do not want to increase my emotional baggage. I have my own life to lead. You can either continue living your life in that insular little fantasy world of yours or come out to face the real world and talk to real people. Everyone had run an extra mile for you. we are going to hit the 999 miles marker. I have stopped running.

Run the remaining last one mile for us and you will see the whole world would be running with you.

Your comments I would let slide.
The sacrifices made are all in vain
but you will not see my concealed pain."

cirque de demain

The 30th edition of the The Circus of Tomorrow was really spectacular. The graceful and flexible movement of the artists movement told the story of the strength and beauty of the human body. The Mexicans and their sizzling hot bodies that I wish I had, the Australian who made me want to try similar stunts on the local playground swings, the Chinese who made as many somersaults flips as the pancakes that I bake and, my personal favorite, the Swiss clowns all added to the excitement.
