pop star

I met a boy whose dream was to be an internationally famous artiste. Influenced by K pop, he maintained long wispy fringes. He stopped school to pursue a career in dance. He has the support of his parents. Lucky dude, he does not have to worry about earning a living. I come from a totally different background from him. I thought his dream was not realistic, I do not clamor for attention the way he does and I am no longer young like him. When he come to me for advice, I found myself unable to tell him how to become a super star. I had taken the conventional path, the study-hard-and-everything-else-will-fall-in-place path. The safe and sure path. All I can say was.. "Be humble. The moment you stop being humble, you stop learning."

Let's hope he succeed.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
